Wordy

Jack has an amazing number of words these days. He surprises me all the time with things he knows how to say. Earlier this week it was “bye” and then he added “hi,” which he says in a lilt that reminds me of Mr. Hanky from South Park. It’s the goofiest thing ever and I have no idea where he learned it. Here is a list of words he can say, a pretty amazing amount for a not quite 13-month-old:

duck
cat
bye
hi
mama
dada
milk (“mil”)
Kristina (“nuhnuh”) – his daycare provider
book (“buh”)
bath (“bah”)
cow
grandma (“gahmah”)
no
ow
yeah

I’m sure there are more I’m not thinking of, and more that I can’t decipher. He is quite the talker, little Jackie. I can’t imagine where he gets it from. ;)

I love that stage, where they’re really figuring out how to communicate. I think you’ll be surprised how fast it goes from here, it’s so much fun.

I find myself gushing about him now. I am totally loving this age. It took me quite a while but I’ve actually fallen in love with my kid!
